Best Intentions

The year is 1923 and Benjamin Harris, P.I. is contacted to track down a man who's gone missing. Sensing something more to this case, he asks his pal Joseph Wheatley for assistance. Surely the strange witness testimonies about the manner of the man's disappearance are hearsay and exaggerations, right?

The stakes begin to rise. Ben and Joe head towards the home of Blair Backstrom. The first obstacle comes to light, the estate is guarded by thugs. Ben and Joe will need to proceed carefully if they are to get the answers they need.

Ben and Joe find themselves in quite a mess. They've been shot, the mob is involved in the case, and a creature of horror has stopped hiding. They'll continue the investigation while also getting their wounds treated and then they're off to visit an old friend from Ben's past to hopefully get the mob out of the way and perhaps acquire some resources to contain the legal troubles and the eldritch in the process.
